Today my wife and I have
multiple businesses: Counseling,
Mediation, Law, and network marketing (Market America). We didn’t always
believe in multiple streams of income. Originally I was a social worker, and my
wife was a psychotherapist. We were very
comfortable in our careers, and actually insulted when someone asked if we were
open to consider other opportunities. I later became a lawyer, and once again
only focused on my career as a lawyer.
Our experiences taught us
that we had too many of our eggs in one basket. We discovered that ALL JOBS are
temporary, whether you know it or not. Lately
I have been sad to see so many people discovering this fact. When the rug is yanked it is a crisis. Being
proactive means learning to keep your options open, even when you think “all is
well”. So... which are you?
1. “I’m busy. I’ve got a job and don’t have time
to look at anything else?”
OR
2. “I’m busy, I don’t know where I would find
the time, but yes I’d like to learn about another opportunity?”
